EMU Faculty of Architecture organizes Ahmet Vural Behaeddin Student Awards Competition
Eastern Mediterranean University Faculty of Architecture is organizing the "Ahmet Vural Behaeddin Student Awards Competition"
Eastern Mediterranean University (Within the scope of the protocol signed between EMU Rector's Office and Faculty of Architecture and the wife of Turkish Cypriot modernist architect Ahmet Vural Behaeddin, Tülin Behaeddin, the student awards competition, which has become a tradition, will take place on 21-23 October 2019 in order to keep the works and memories of Ahmet Vural Behaeddin alive.
The competition will be open to 3rd and 4th year students of the Architecture and Interior Architecture Departments of universities in the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). Accordingly, students will be able to participate in the competition with the design studio works completed in the previous academic year (2018-2019). Each year, there is one award category for the relevant design studios of their level, in four categories as Architecture and Interior Architecture. Within the format announced in the competition announcement, students are expected to transform their projects for the specified academic year into a poster presentation with a graphically rearranged sheet.
TRNC EXCEEDS ITS BORDERS
EMU Faculty of Architecture has started preparations for the 8th competition this year. In this context, domestic (European University of Lefke ,Cyprus International University ,Girne American University , International Final University, Near East University) and abroad (such as Middle East Technical University, Istanbul Technical University, Yıldız Technical University, Özyeğin University, Medipol University, Istanbul Kültür University, Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University) Ahmet Vural Bahaeddin Student Awards Competition 2019, where he was appointed as a member of the organization, will cross the borders of the TRNC for the first time and ensure the participation of Turkish Architecture Faculties.
