MS in Urban Design

Requirements for admission to EMU in MS in UD Program

  1. Good Bachelor degree (min. CGPA 2.50/4.00 or 62.5/100) or an equivalent qualification in one of the built environment disciplines (Architecture, Building Science, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning or Urban Design). Consideration will also be given to graduates from other related fields, such as Sociology and Social Sciences, Geography, Economy, Political Sciences, Environmental Sciences and others.
  2. English proficiency scores (TOEFL (213 CBT / 80 IBT; 550 PBT) and TWE (4.00); IELTS (6.5) with a minimum of 5.5 in writing; FCE (C); KPDS (80) or ÜDS (80)). The scores should have been obtained within the last 2 years.
  3. Passing the necessary deficiency courses in accordance with the program’s committee recommendations.
  4. Passing the necessary preparatory courses in accordance with the program’s committee recommendations.
  5. Statement of purpose, 300-500 words in length
  6. A CV
  7. English proficiency scores (TOEFL (213 CBT / 80 IBT; 550 PBT) and TWE (4.00); IELTS (6.5) with a minimum of 5.5 in writing; FCE (C); KPDS (80) or ÜDS (80)). The scores should have been obtained within the last 2 years.
  8. One official transcript from each institution beyond high school.
  9. Proof of Degree, or letter that it will be in hand by the time of enrolment.
  10. Two letters of recommendation in signed, sealed envelopes by the recommenders.
