Architecture as a Profession and Related Problems Discussed in EMU "City and Architecture" Program

Taking place under the moderatorship of Eastern Mediterranean University Architecture Faculty member Assist. Prof. Dr. Ercan Hoşkara and Çiğdem Duvarcı, this week's TV program entitled "City and Architecture" hosted chair of the Chamber of Architects Azmi Öge who talked about "Architecture as a Profession and Relevant Problems".

Azmi Öge stated that the Chamber of Architects which is a unit operating under the Chambers of Architects and Engineers Association has been providing professional support for the benefit of the society.

Öge stated that the Chamber of Architects carries out inspections on the suitability of the construction projects to standards. Unfortunately, according to Öge, some state department buildings did not go through this process prior to their construction. Öge added that professional inspection carries utmost importance.

Towards the end of the program, Öge talked about the importance of equal opportunities in the architecture sector.
