EMU Interior Architecture Department Graduation Project Receives Support from External Experts

Within the framework of Eastern Mediterranean University Architecture Faculty, Interior Architecture Department Graduation Project (ITAS 402 / INAR 492), three invited experts provided valuable support for students. Based on Bandabulya, one of the historical attractions of Girne, students' projects have been developed within the framework of the theme "Thematic Museum".

In this respect, Eastern Mediterranean University Architecture Faculty Interior Architecture Department hosted experienced interior designer Burçak Madran, who is a name with her multi-dimensional designer identity as well as with numerous academic projects in various design studios throughout Turkey. While delivering a seminar on "Museology, museum and museum furniture design, Madran also provided hands-on support to the students in studio courses with her in-depth experience.

Following Burçak Madran, Professional Architect Dr. Fevzi Özersay, who is an expert on structural design and solutions in interior spaces, provided multi-perspective feedback on students' graduation projects. Fevzi Özersay is currently the director of Studio14, an architecture office intensively involved institutional projects within Cyprus. Dr. Fevzi Özersay is also the owner of Miro Designroom.

Last but not least, professional architect Funda Atalay delivered a presentation on "Museum Lighting". Having carried out an array of projects on "lighting", Atalay is currently employed at Bilkent and Middle East Technical University as a part time staff member. Following her presentation, Atalay provided supportive feedback on the projects of students.

On the other hand, Gül Güven will be taking part in the graduation project jury as an invited member. Having demonstrated her success within different areas of architecture, Güven is also expected to deliver a seminar to prospective interior designers under the title of "last lesson".
