EMU Interior Architecture Department Attended CIDA Accreditation Workshop in the USA

Eastern Mediterranean University, Architecture Faculty, Interior Architecture Department attended a workshop organised for the purpose of providing information about the accreditation process by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) in Dallas, the USA.

As the only Interior Architecture Department within Turkey and Northern Cyprus holding AQAS accreditation, EMU Interior Architecture Department continues to seek further accreditations to certify its quality within other international accrediting bodies. In this respect, Prof. Dr.Uğur Ulaş Dağlı stated that their participation in CIDA accreditation workshop will pave the path towards the accrediation of CIDA, one of the most important and prominent accrediting organisations at the international level. Having taken place in Fort Worth Dallas, CIDA accreditation workshop hosted a total of 37 representatives from different countries including Qatar, Lebanon and America. On behalf of the department, Accreditation Committee member Assist. Prof. Dr. Guita Farivadsadri attended the workshop and provided detailed information about the department to the Accreditation Commission. It is worth mentioning that EMU Interior Architecture Department was the only department attending the workshop from Turkey and Northern Cyprus.

Department Chair Prof. Dr. Dağlı stated that regarding international accreditations, their department is the most experienced department within Turkey and Northern Cyprus. Prof. Dr. Dağlı also added that in this regard, the department is ready to share their experience with other institutions.
