Master of Architecture (M.Arch) General Information As a part of the ongoing process of change and rehabilitation of architectural education, Faculty of Architecture has long been aware of the need to widen the scope of the Master of Architecture program (M.Arch.) through introducing new alternative routes to graduate students with varying interests or professional perspectives. The need for new modifications has also been verified through examining the graduate programs of many reputable architectural schools abroad. In line with these, in addition to the present Master of Architecture program that offers a degree by research culminating in the submission of a written thesis, a new research degree opportunity, namely the Master of Architecture (M.Arch), is offered within the Department of Architecture tailored to accommodate inidividual interests and methodologies to improve the professional skills of the students (architects) on the basis of advanced architectural design studies. The Master of Architecture is a one year research degree for those who wish to advance the discipline of architecture as a part of one the preconditions of getting the title of a registered / practicing architect.
