As a member of the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers'ın (IFI), world's most renowned organisation in interior architecture, since 2007, Eastern Mediterranean University, Architecture Faculty, Interior Architecture Department organised a series of events under the theme "Interiors Intelligence" within the framework of the World Interiors Day.
Celebrated annually on the last Saturday of May, World Interiors Day aims to spotlight Interior Architecture. The event actively engages professionals, national organizations, design enthusiasts and the general public to explore creativity, imagination, vision and passion in relation to the role of Interior Architecture in society, culture and our future environments.
In line with IFI Interiors Declaration in 2011 which states "In the spaces that are important to us, we experience not only a sense of place, but a sense of who we are, and of what we can be. Thoughtfully designed spaces help us learn, reflect, imagine, discover and create.", EMU Interior Architecture Department marked the said day.
In this respect, Evren Çolak, EMU Interior Architecture Department's successful graduate, perception manager and the author of "You Have a Message from the Universe, There is Happiness in It", delivered an interactive seminar under the title "Designing Different States of Happiness". During the organisation students, academic staff members and participants exchanged ideas and feelings.
